What does this mean to you?
Many times, some of us look at the Christian faith as being too restricted and choose to live a sinful life, rather than conforming to the righteous laws of Christ. We fail to realize that just like the Jews who rejected Christ and choose Barabbas instead, we are placing ourselves under the authority of Satan—the lord of sin.
In the end, what we thought was freedom, ends up becoming our prison where our will to resist, is many times weakened against all the enticements that stand before us. It isn’t until we decide to try Jesus that we begin to discover that it is only through having Him dwelling inside of us that we have the power to overcome sin.
Sin offers nothing except deception.
This was the same fate the people of Sodom Shadows in the book, ‘The Path of the Chosen Warriors,’ found themselves in, when they decided they needed to venture away from the fold of Shiloh City, a Christian community. Abaddon, the demon lord from the sea, made them an offer that made their decision to leave Shiloh City seem worthwhile.
But what they thought would bring freedom because they gained wealth and the choice to live as they pleased, only took them into deeper bondage, which caused their eyes to become darkened to the truth. This is what happens to us many times when we allow the things of this world to take our eyes from God and his righteous ways. Just as parents have rules over their children to keep them from making bad choices, or to keep them out of danger, so does our heavenly Father.
Rebellion is as bad as witchcraft to our heavenly father, and it is an action the devil is influencing many to exercise now—bringing down the wrath of God upon them. This was also where the residents of Sodom Shadows found themselves and their fate would have been sealed if not for one person praying for the town.
Hannah prayed for this community for twenty years even though they had banished her for standing against Abaddon. Even sentenced her to death by Abaddon’s orders BUT God saved her and filled her with His love and mercy towards the town's people and even then, she remained faithful and she prayed.
God’s love for us is so great that even in our sin and rejections of him – he still loves us and wants to spare us from the just punishment our sins deserve. We as Children of God ought to stand in the gap for the unbelievers, seeking God's mercy on their behalf to keep the cup of iniquity each country has from reaching its limit and bringing God's wrath upon the land. Genesis 15:16 explains about the cup of iniquity.
I wrote this to open our eyes to the measure of God’s love for us. Take a journey into the world of The Path of the Chosen Warriors and discover through the lives of the characters how much and even learn how to stand your ground against the enemy. I wrote this book under the influence of the Holy Spirit and every day it brings me to a place of repentance, courage, faithfulness to God, and a desire to be more holy.
If your goal in life is to grow more in your spiritual walk and find the courage to do so, you need to get a copy of this book.
So to answer the question: How to open the eyes of the spiritually blind?
You have to teach them the truth. Sin brings darkness—knowledge, and understanding of the word of God brings light and spiritual sight and removes the scales of darkness that many have on their eyes today. And if you feel you don't know much or enough of the word as yet to teach anyone-then do what Hannah did and pray for God to send labourers to reach them with the word to transform their lives.
